The Hyatt Court Community Center Residency
In Summer of 2025 I was given the opportunity to be in residency at the Hyatt Court Community Center supported by YENDOR & the United Community Corporation
Through this 9 month residency my partner, Jabrel Rolling, and I promoted students to recognize their creative gifts and support them to meet their talents with open arms.
Summer 2025
The summer session, themed “Personal Reflection”, was designed to help young artist grow confident in themselves and their art by exploring how they see and present their own identities.
Fall 2025
The fall session is built around the theme of Kinetic Creative Thinking. This session is designed to help students understand creativity as an active process of movement, problem-solving, and exploration.
Spring 2026
From the previous season workshops it was recognized that shapes, colors and lines were a key focus of interest and challenge for the students, and the culmination of the residency was a public art piece that reflected the work and creativity developed over the sessions.
